The Workers Unite! Film Festival opened with Your Day is My Night at Cinema Village on May 10 and a week later we closed the fest at the Brecht Forum. We were excited to screen the film amongst all of the movies on workers’ rights and unions. Festival director Andrew Tilson noted that he had decided to include our film because he felt it showed the personal and domestic life of a group of people who surely had worked as laborers for almost all of their lives. To our surprise, the film won “Best Feature Narrative”.
