该片将7个人的故事通过共用的一个床位分别呈现,由七位普通华裔移民本色出演,方寸之间展现了华埠移民悠长辛酸历史。主演之一的华人黄云秀说,自己1995年移民来美,当初条件艰苦,在朋友的衣橱里一住就是三个月。
导演Lynn从2011年开始筹划拍摄,在去年上演了话剧版本,而电影版本在今天的第十二届MOMA纪录片电影节上首映。Lynn说,她希望更多的人能够了解移民的生活现状,她在四月还将带着这部电影参加多伦多电影节。(美国中文网 陈逸子)
