On July 15th, Lynne and I trekked to Boston, sisters and s.o.’s in tow, to screen Your Day is My Night in my old stomping grounds; Cambridge, MA. The film showed as part of The DocYard’s summer series at the Brattle Theater, an independent and repertory house where I saw many career-affirming flicks like Andrew Bujalski’s 16mm MUTUAL APPRECIATION, a PETER GREENAWAY double feature (exhausting), some French New Wave stuff, and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY on 35mm, to name a few. It was a real pleasure to be part of a screening in this great theater.
The crowd was really eager to hear more about the process of making the film and the discussion carried over to the bar afterwards. Lynne and I would like to thank again Sara Archambault and the DocYard for hosting, Nellie Kluz for promoting the show, and Erin Trahan for moderating!
